Farb- und Stilberatung oder Personal Shopping: Was brauche ich?Colour and Style Consultation versus Personal Shopping: Which is right for me?

Was ist ein Kleiderschrank Check-up?

Was ist Personal Shopping?

Beides sagt viel darüber, was zu Ihnen passt.

  • Dauer: etwa zwei Stunden

Kleiderschrank Check-up

A colour and style consultation will reveal which shades and cuts suit you best. During a wardrobe check-up, we visit you at home to see what you already own and how it can be combined. For personal shopping, we accompany you on your shopping trips. If you are new to our services, we recommend starting with a colour and style consultation. All three are offered by Lawrence Fashion, the bespoke tailor at Löwenplatz in Zurich.

What is a colour and style consultation?

In a colour and style consultation, we discover which colours and styles most beautifully accentuate your personality. This knowledge will give you the confidence to make the right impression and avoid costly purchasing mistakes.

This is how it works: In our studio, we drape cloths of various colours around your shoulders, in natural daylight and without the distraction of your own clothes. You will see for yourself which colours make your complexion look fresher and which make it appear tired. We then move on to style, exploring which cuts, lengths, and proportions best suit your figure, and what you wish to wear for both professional and leisure settings.

At the end of the session, you will take your personal colour palette with you in the form of a colour fan, which you can hold against garments when shopping. Please allow approximately two hours for the consultation.

What is a wardrobe check-up?

For a wardrobe check-up, we visit you at home to gain a comprehensive overview of your collection. We go through it piece by piece, identifying what suits you and is currently worn, what can be combined in new ways, and what has been hanging unworn in your wardrobe for years.

Afterwards, you will know which garments suit you best and have new ways to combine your existing pieces. We can even upcycle cherished items that no longer fit, giving them a new lease of life in our studio. Please allow two to three hours for this service.

What is personal shopping?

During a personal shopping appointment, we accompany you as your stylists and personal shoppers. We help you to navigate colours, trends, and styles, showing you what can be combined with other new items and with your existing wardrobe.

We begin by discussing your needs, whether for a new position, a special occasion, or a trip. This allows us to target the most suitable shops for you. Please allow for half a day.

What should I bring to the colour and style consultation?

Please arrive with little or no make-up, so that your natural colouring is visible. We also ask you to bring two or three of your favourite garments in which you feel most comfortable, and one item that you bought but have rarely worn. Both can be very revealing about what suits you. If you wear glasses, please bring them with you.

Is the consultation also for men?

Yes. Colour, cut, and proportion are just as important in menswear, from the suit and shirt right down to the tie. Many gentlemen seek a style consultation ahead of a career change or when looking to build a new business wardrobe. Our etiquette and body language coaching is also available for both women and men.

How do the three services differ?

Colour and Style Consultation

  • What you receive: Your personal colour palette and ideal cuts, with a colour fan to take away
  • Where: In our studio at Löwenplatz
  • Duration: Approximately two hours
  • Choose this service: If you wish to project confidence, avoid purchasing mistakes, and lay the foundation for our other services

Wardrobe Check-up

  • What you receive: A complete overview of your wardrobe and new outfit combinations
  • Where: At your home
  • Duration: Two to three hours
  • Choose this service: If your wardrobe is full yet you find it difficult to choose an outfit in the morning

Personal Shopping

  • What you receive: Expert guidance while you shop and new items that complement you and your existing wardrobe
  • Where: In select stores
  • Duration: Approximately half a day
  • Choose this service: When you need to find specific new pieces, for instance for a special occasion or a new job

How often do I need a colour consultation?

As a rule, only once. Your personal colour palette will change very little over many years. However, following a significant change, such as a new hair colour, a brief follow-up appointment to review your colours is worthwhile. A style consultation can be repeated at any time, for example, before starting a new position.

Where should I begin?

We recommend starting with the colour and style consultation, as it provides the foundation for the other two services. The wardrobe check-up will then reveal what you already own that works for you, while personal shopping can be used to acquire any missing key pieces. However, each consultation can also be booked individually.

What other consultations are available?

Our make-up tutorial will show you how to apply make-up for both everyday wear and special occasions. The glasses and hairstyle consultation focuses on two elements that strongly define your face. Furthermore, our etiquette and body language coaching will deepen your knowledge for private and professional situations, ensuring you feel confident and at ease anywhere.

And if nothing off-the-peg fits?

Then we will create it for you. We offer a full bespoke service, handcrafting garments to your exact measurements in our own studio: for ladies, gentlemen, and children. Your personal colours and style will directly inform our choice of fabric and the final cut.
